  • Gun Island by Amitav Ghosh

 Gun Island is a beautifully realized novel which effortlessly spans space and time by Jnanpith awardy Amitav GhoshThe story revolves around Deen Sutta, who is a dealer in rare books and is used to a quiet life. But circumstances lead him to change his beliefs and he sets out on an unusual journey. He travels from India to Los Angeles to Venice and on this journey, he meets new people, some of whom change his life significantly. Spanning across space and time, the novel is about change and hope, and how a man's faith in the universe is restored by two women.

    


  • Small Days and Nights by Tishani Doshi


    This is a book of shattering study disaffection and belonging 'Small Days and Nights' is a touching fictional story of Grace who returns to Pondicherry for cremating of her mother , escaping a failing marriage and how her life changes. In Pondicherry, she discovers that she has inherited a property on the Madras beach and also she has a sister named Lucia who has Down Syndrome and lives in a residential facility.



  • Raavan: Enemy of Aryavarta by Amish Tripathi


             

             As the darkness signifies the importance of life similarly without a villain what would the God do? Amish originally titled the book 'Raavan: The Orphan of Aryavarta', but he recently shared that it was now changed to 'Raavan: Enemy of Aryavarta'. This is the third in the Rama Chandra series. The book tells Raavan's story from his childhood till incident where he abducts Sita.
